Amazing service from Kami! I had someone spill something in my carpet and was worried about damage. He could have easily charged me and gone through the cleaning, but instead assessed the carpet and provided me with expert information, which was the carpet was fine and didn’t need cleaning. I’ll definitely be going back to him for future cleanings. Amazing ethics in business.

ALERT!!!!! BE AWARE!!!Asked for a price for regural cleaning, and told to bring it for a quote. Wanted to set an appointment and told just to drop it off, that he (didn't want to give me his name) is in and out". When asked about the quote he said to drop it anyway. He is not giving me quote over the phone and is not there to give me price but wanted me to drop it off and pay later whatever he wanted to charge. I told him that I don't want to be stuck with unreasonable price for regular cleaning of my Persian 7'x10' rug he asked $1000!?! BAD BUSINESS

Kami certainly knows his stuff! He is very professional and personable. He did a fabulous job on our two ‘sari silk’ rugs. They came back looking like new! It is an expensive process but so were the rugs to purchase. It was worth it!

It's clear that Kami truly understands the relationships people have with their carpets. He has repaired and cleaned six of our Persian rugs, several of which are near one hundred years old. He transformed them, giving what could well be many more decades of useful and beautiful life. Oner of the great benefits of having Kami deal with rugs is the incidental education you get from his anecdotes and explanations. I highly recommend his work.

Kami and his nephew, Arian did a fabulous job of all our rugs. This is the second time for some of our rugs and the third time for others since we moved back to Vancouver in 2000. Kami is always very pleasant and professional. I highly recommend this business.

Kami came to my home and provided me with a quote on the cost of having my seven Persian and Afghan area rugs cleaned. I have had my beloved rugs for over thirty years (and many moves), during which time they have received regular use - so a good, deep hand-cleaning was long overdue ..I was impressed by Kami’s promptness, professionalism and forthright manner. He is very knowledgeable about the specialized care required for hand-knotted wool rugs, and he is passionate about his work. The rugs were delivered back to me last week, and Kami and his assistant carefully reinstalled them in their original locations. I am thrilled with how vibrant and clear the colours and patterns look, and how fresh and soft the wool pile smells and feels.I also requested new non-slip underlay (for use on hardwood) for the rugs. As these handmade rugs are rarely perfect rectangles, Kami took the time to custom cut the underlay by hand, matching it exactly to the unique idiosyncrasies of each rug.Kami has high standards and is a perfectionist. I highly recommend him and East & West Rug Cleaning Co. for the expert handling and cleaning of your precious Persian rugs.

We received a number of Persian carpets from family and all were in need of cleaning. A few of the carpets were quite dirty and had moth damage. We are very happy with the cleaning and repair work that Kami did on all our Persian carpets. He spent many extra hours replacing the binding on one of the carpets in order to preserve the integrity of the carpet’s foundation, rather than doing a quicker and more expedient job. The work was completed more quickly than anticipated and Kami was very friendly in all our communications. He also advised us on a few other small carpets that had been improperly stored by a restoration company.

I just called to see whether they would clean my carpet ~ the gentleman who took my call was extremely informative about the process (of which I had no idea) and explained that I would be better served at another type of cleaner. I appreciated his clarity, honesty, and professionalism. I will definitely use his services in the future for another, hand-knotted area carpet.

I am so pleased with the service provided by Kami during what was a tremendously stressful time as my condo had just flooded and I was in a race against time to get my three Persian/Afghan rugs treated and cleaned as quickly as possible, all while in the midst of COVID restrictions. Not only did he place a priority on picking up my carpets directly but he kindly kept them in his warehouse for 3 months while I had my flooring replaced before he returned them. Not only did I receive customer service rarely seen these days, but my precious rugs were saved. Thank you Kami! I highly recommend this company to everyone.
